I see in the map editor that you can add and edit EV charging stations. The dialog doesn’t collect the right data, though. I’d say better than nothing, but EV users want to know what network (if any) the station is on (e.g. ChargePoint, Blink, etc.); What level and connector (J1772, 5-15R, L1, L2, Fast Charge type), how many charge points at this location, cost (x cents/KwH, x $/hr, x $/session, free), restrictions (company employees only, open to the public, etc.), time limits (open only 9:00 am - 6:00 pm etc.), a photo, any special driving directions or tricks to find the station, etc.

At some point it would be nice to connect to networks so you know when the station is busy, broken, etc., and allow user reports of broken (long term unavailable) or ICEd (short term unavailable).

I agree, and this kind of thing is coming, but won’t be very soon. Playing catch-up is annoying.

For now, the description field should be used to capture any information for which there is no field. In the future, hopefully additional fields of data can be stored and used for filtering/search in the app. Putting info into the Description will allow for fast updating in the future.

Outside of EV-specific data, more data fields are coming to the app and editor as part of the next update.
