Postcode and place issue - anything we can do?

Investigating a UR, suspecting Wazer navigated to postcode. According to livemap postcode CB1 7QQ would take you to the wrong place (link)

But using the place Royal Mail Customer Service Point for destination goes to the right place (link)

Tell the user never to use postcodes as a destination unless they only want the general area :wink:

Waze uses Google to locate the centre of the postcode and then navigates to the nearest segment only.

Thanks Chris, I suspected so much. A bit of a shame as in some cases like this one the postcode is unique to the place…

Ah, well in that case we can do a something about it, though it’s a hack not a fix.

The Parking Road that is currently drawn into the RM Depot should be drawn to the south and then the postcode centre would be closest to this segment and Waze would route correctly :wink:
