A couple of days ago, Waze routed me off a primary street on to some streets that didn’t make sense to me. It was here: Waze Map Editor
I was east bound on Sixth Ave. I would have expected Waze to send me straight to 4th street and turn right. Instead it had me turn right on Second St. Left on Fifth Ave and then right on 4th street.
The street levels make sense to me but I don’t understand why it would route me off a primary street onto a street instead. It did a similar thing north of here earlier in the day. Is there anything that can or should be done to make routing in this area better? Alternatively, is there something I need to read to understand Waze’s routing better?
