Steps to reproduce this issue:
I have a problem adding the house number to this section, I’ve added two numbers, but it won’t let me add more.

Thank you for your report! May I trouble you to record your screen to better demonstrate the issue? I have not been able to reproduce the bug yet, not sure if there must some specific preconditions…

One last thing: which browser are you using?

I think I’ve figured out why I was getting the error. There was a segment that was at level 2, and I’m not sure why it allowed me to add numbers at first but then stopped. Now that I’m level 2, I can add numbers without any issues.

This makes a lot of sense. I have just tested it on my end - it did not allow me to add any HNs to a segment locked to level 2 with level 1 user. I’m also wondering why it allowed you to add these initial HNs when you were still level 1.

When did you reach level 2?

I reached level 2 yesterday, it might be a specific bug, but I thought it was good to report it.

Just to sum up and put these events in chronological order:

  1. you first added the HNs to the segment, which was locked to level 2 (you had not reached level 2 at that point);
  2. you reached level 2
  3. removed the previous lock rank from the segment

If that was so, then it would be a bug, as it should not have allowed you to add HNs to a segment that was locked to a level higher that your own.

That’s correct, that’s how it is, I hadn’t reached level 2 yet when the error occurred. I’ve left the section as it is, in case you need to do any checks or whatever

I hope you are doing well. Having reviewed these segments’ edit history, I can confirm that this worked as expected - you first added HNs to a segment locked to level 1, which was successful, then tried adding HNs to a segment locked to level 2 but had not reached level 2 at that point, which is why it failed.

So I thank overall it was a timing issue and not validation failure.

Let me know if there is anything else you would like me to verify, otherwise, I will consider it WAD.

To clarify, when editing street numbers, the system shouldn’t allow changes to a street’s segments if any segment exceeds your editing level. I was level 1, and a segment was locked at level 2. Despite this, I was still able to edit numbers on other segments of the same street.
