Every time I try to use Waze I just get the comment ‘proceed to the highlighted route’ as my next direction -
No directions (right or left, etc.) at all!
Any one have any suggestions - Im just about to download another app to use

Are you starting on a dead-end street each time?
Not at all - I could be starting in the middle of a major highway -
Also, I dont have any blue path to follow -

Same thing here this morning. Sporadically, the system would see me on a route, but most of the time it would simply say, “Proceed To Highlighted Route”. The textual next turn and ETA were correct, however. Sounds like a bug of some sort…
I was getting this also this morning. Was fine for the first part then all of a sudden was telling me to procede to the highlighted route for about a 6 mile stretch then got itself back on track with the last few roads.
I had this happen to me once or twice…as a matter of fact, it happened today. Typically I tap
Menu > Stop Nav
And then I will choose to navigate to my destination again.
If that doesn’t clear it up, I will tap
Menu > Stop Nav
Menu > Switch Off
Then I will force-close (or kill) the app. (Which varies depending on your phone’s manufacturer)
This always works for me.

I had the same thing happen to me this morning.
Usual route to work, no changes in route or device software.
It might be a bug.
Okay now I see other reports of this elsewhere in the forums. It is probably related to the new map tiles being deployed to the NA servers. While things are refreshing we see things like this happen. Normally it clears up during the day.
Glad to know it’s not just me. I tried stopping nav, shutting down the app, and restarting my iPhone. Didn’t make a difference. I finally just gave up, turned it off, and staring using Navigon. VERY frustrating. :x
Yeah, had same exact issues on my way in to work. Thought it was me, but happened to my coworker as well.
Waze has got to handle tile updates more gracefully. If we start getting daily map updates and this continues to happens, routing will never work. This is poor programming and I can see why anyone would want to dump it when this is going on.

If it looks strange, or I used bad grammar or misspelled anything, it’s my phone’s fault.
This is happening to me as well, I’m driving across multiple states today, any idea when this will be resolved? I hate to use google maps for navigation…

Its doing the same thing to me. Same route I’ve taken dozens of times, including yesterday.
This is rather bothersome. Last time the updates rolled-out I hadn’t noticed any issues; this time, it’s hit and miss on routes if it’s working. Half of the tiles that I had a chance to view on my drive were misaligned and broken. It bummed me out to have to download Google Maps on 1xRTT… All 20minutes worth of a download…
I realize the issues are supposed to ‘clear up during the day’, but -8 brownie points.
Glad to hear that this is a bug, and not just the way it typically works. I just started using Waze for the first time this morning and found that I would be in the middle of the blue path on a 10 mile stretch of highway and then suddenly the path would disappear and I’d get “Proceed to Highlighted route” as I I had somehow just left the route?
This is happening to me today. I tried stop navigation, turn off waze completely, reboot phone, even uninstall/reinstall app. Hopefully will be cleared up before the next time I go to use it.
Yes its been happening to me since yesterday! Very frustrating.
Yes - I think it is a bug. May have sth to do with the new update. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
