Hello, could I please request the creation of a route for the approach to Lake Kapřák in Karviná? The current routing is incorrect and leads users completely astray. The route follows a paved road that serves as an access road to the plots, as verified by the RSD (Road and Motorway Directorate). We can certainly address your suggestion; it is our common goal… Although we are familiar with the company Mapy — they do their job well in many respects — we really do not want to use their data to improve Waze.
Our philosophy and internal process setup dictate that Waze is only as good as its Wazers. We rely primarily on ourselves, which is why we will not proceed in exactly the same way as the aforementioned company.
I am sure you agree that the Waze map should be the work of Wazers — that is, the users. Therefore, please draw the intended shape of the road in Google Maps and share a screenshot with us… Or, even better, draw the road directly in the Waze Map Editor, where the community will edit and connect it… drawing a road is simple and fun… Here is a link to WME; I am sure you can handle it and you will get your own segment in the Waze app. Everything starts in WME at the top left — the large blue target with the + sign.
Logging into WME requires an account, so if you are not a Waze user, use the first option by drawing in Google Maps.
