Ramp naming

Hi,

I’m tidying up some ramp naming for access to/from Hwy 1 in the Kamloops area. Off ramps are fine, but for onramps I see ramps in other areas some named “to Hwy 1 W” and other just with “Hwy 1 W” what should the naming convention be? I can’t see anything on this topic in the Canada wiki.

on-ramps should be something like
“to Hwy 1 W” – i.e. with "to " at the start, and the direction indicator at the end.

Sometimes there will be additional directionality from the signs indicating the on-ramp:
“to Hwy 1 E / Salmon Arm”

OK, that’s what I thought. There are a few ramps in the Metro Vancouver area which need some attention to add the “to” piece.
