Sure, please go for it Cal!

Thanks for the reminder and detailed update Hila.

I think, our Waze community is the best community where most if not all members are very helpful, understanding, respectful to one another and follow guidelines you linked above.

We always remind new members those posted Community Communication Guidelines and Forum Etiquette in other communication platforms such as Discord.

By the way: Have a Happy Birthday

It would seem that there is some sort of sanction model in force here on the forum, allowing for the issuance of “warnings” to individual users who are deemed to have broken one of the rules. These warnings seem to get attached to the account of the user in question. I would like to learn more about these “warning” sanctions, but can’t seem to find any reference to them on the forum website.

Would you please be so kind as to clarify the following points:

  • Which sanctions do you have in place for alleged infractions?
  • What is the nature of the aforementioned “warning” in that system of sanctions?
  • Do these warnings and/or other sanctions expire at some point in time? If so, when? If not, why not?
  • Who decides to issue a sanction to a user?
  • Is there some form of appeal available to a user who believes to have been wrongly sanctioned? If so, please describe. If not, why not?
  • Why haven’t the (rules pertaining to the) sanctions not been published so far?
