Dear Austrian, Czech, Hungarian, Slovak, Serbian Wazers,
We want to organize a regional meetup in Bratislava, Slovakia (maybe this is the “most easiest to reach” city for these countries) in the second half year for the TopWazers in this region.
We want to do some workshop about the future features of waze, the “must to repair/develop” functions and, of course, we want to know each other much more.

Introduction of regions & attendees
One wazer from each country introduces attendees & status of Waze in his country (i.e. Mapping status, ETA accuracy, coverage, etc).
Infrastructure changes (waze HQ)
What exactly has changed? Why is routing expected to be better? Does it have any influence on better ETA accuracy? Regular map updates - how often? Is the speed of Map Editor also positively affected?
POI & Address search (guri211)
How should it work? How to make POI search easy and intuitive for users? Using aliases and partial strings “Hilton” vs. “Hotel Hilton”. House numbers are back, but map editors don’t like the implementation. Idea of new POI & Address search (v1 - simple, v2 - advanced).
How is ETA calculated? (waze HQ)
How are the traffic jams taken into this count? How many wazers do we need to create traffic jam on a street / minor hwy / major hwy / freeway? Could a single baby wazer create a standstill? Is the event information severity (i.e. Minor vs. Major Accident) and number of likes or comments also important? Is the ETA for each turn different? Is the color-coded displayed speed different from ETA speed on the same segment(s)?

Offline reporting - remember report when temporarily offline and send a few seconds / minutes later. Reporting Closures. Option to report Ice on road. Consider transforming the speedcam report into an Update Request.

ETA +1 min. Unicode characters problem when loading favorites from server. Do not allow jumping to lat=0,lon=0 position - show previous position instead. ETA historical data do not respect day of week
Feature Ideas
Speed Limits. Lane Guidance (incl. hazards). Vehicle types (incl. type-specific turn restrictions). Navigation signs & Traffic signs. Expected time to green light. Augmented reality. TopWazers version w/map debug information. Add option to manually reorder favorites. List of (own) URs in Editor, even if closed recently. Access to bug tracking (ticketing) system for betatesters (at least read-only).
