There seem to be several events showing up in Iowa (several are along my commute route) from TrafficCast that are no longer active (and have several comments stating as such). How do we go about having those removed?
Here are links to the areas showing the events. These are on I-35 between Ankeny and Ames, Iowa.

You can check Iowa DOT’s 511 website to also confirm that these are no longer there. (http://hb.511ia.org)
Thanks.

I copied your message directly into a place where the Champs can report these things…
Thanks. I’m new to this forum. What does that mean?
Some of the higher ranking editors are known as Champs and can pass along issues when important enough to Waze Staff.
TrafficCast is a third-party vendor that feeds data into the app and at the moment, here’s no immediate recourse to flag data as bad or to help hide it from view.
In this case, you’re providing further info/examples related to an ongoing problem that many Wazers and editors have noticed.
So don’t plan on any immediate changes necessarily to the points you flagged. Just hold tight and hopefully the feed data gets better or we have an option to flag those reports as “not there” at some point in the future.
OH. Great! Thanks for the info. I will look forward to better TrafficCast info. I work for the Iowa DOT and work with Waze and TrafficCast getting our 511 traffic events to both of them. So, I’m a little familiar with all that is involved with that part of the process.
Thanks again for the info and getting this info to the appropriate people.
