It would be nice to have a forum dedicated to advertising on Waze. Sub-forum would include a request area.
I’ll start:
General:
Error Report: https://biz.waze.com shows “Something went wrong!” (see attached) Anyone else having this problem? (must be logged in as advertiser for redirect to fail)
Requests:
Option to edit ad destination URLs, most specifically to include a query string to identify visitors are from Waze (utm_source=waze) and other critical data.
Option to limit radius targeting. We’re near a major interstate and receive a TON of impressions for folks that will never use our local business. Need to limit to 1/4 mile.
Waze support replied:
"We can’t change the radius of the ads since there’s no real radius for pins. They can be seen on the map even if you view the map from another country. This means the appearance of the pin on the map is determined by 2 factors:
Your CPM against your competitors’ CPMs.
Wether my business is inside the map the users sees right now.

This will ultimately lead to us not continuing advertising if we’re reaching and paying for such a huge audience that would never use our service. And the URL parameters would be the tell all, but that is missing too.
