Dear Team,

I’m reaching out to formally request access to all Map Editor editing levels.

As part of our New Year’s Eve operations, we will be using the Map Editor to support traffic management and public safety across the entire city of Dubai. Full editing access and citywide coverage are required to ensure accurate, realtime updates during this high impact event.

  • Event Name: New Year’s Eve Celebrations – Dubai (English & Arabic)

  • Area Covered: Entire city of Dubai

  • Streets Closed: Multiple primary and secondary roads across Dubai, including major arterials and surrounding streets near event zones

  • Intersecting Streets: Varies by location across the city, depending on event-related closures and traffic management plans

  • Closure Duration: Start and end times vary by road segment based on operational requirements

  • Dates: As required, based on operational needs and approved traffic plans

  • Closure Type: Mix of full road closures and directional closures, depending on location

  • Reason for Full Access: Due to the citywide scope of New Year’s Eve operations and the ongoing need for traffic and public safety management, Dubai Police requires permanent full Map Editor access across all areas of Dubai. This will ensure accurate, coordinated, and real-time traffic updates not only for New Year’s Eve, but also for future large scale events, emergencies, and planned road closures

Can I recommend you look at the Waze for Cities program at the link below:

This is the standard channel for public authorities to gain access to add closures, as well as add realtime alerts/hazards to the map for Waze users.
