Request for help – residential cut-through routing issue in Lithia Springs, Georgia, Beechwood Drive

Hi,

I’m a resident in Lithia Springs in Douglas County, GA.
Waze is routing significant cut-through traffic through our residential street, Beechwood Drive, between Mount Vernon Road and South Sweetwater Road, creating a safety concern.

I’m requesting guidance or assistance with possible solutions such as:

  • Marking as no-through traffic

  • Adjusting routing priority

  • Adding restrictions if appropriate

Good Morning and thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately Waze cannot restrict traffic where it is not already legally restricted. Have you reached out to local governments? For example, if there were government signage indicating no through traffic, then Waze could enforce that.

Government control would reach out beyond Waze and have a greater impact to those drivers who don’t use Waze.
