Hi, thanks for reaching out. I’m an editor local to Pittsburgh and am familiar with this area. What is the justification for this change? Is there new signage that was recently installed?
Hi! I like your handle! Nice throw back! No new signage, but they changed the light timing at Dell and McFarland and we are getting a ton more non local traffic/speeding and last week saw two cars fly down Dell towards Beverly and make the left turn up Meadowcroft going the wrong way on a one way street next to Lincoln School during lunch time. Wasn’t sure if there was some way to flag the street to stop routing as a short cut given safety issues.
Thank you!
Thank you for the additional information. Unfortunately this is outside the scope of what Waze can assist with. If people are flying up and down your street, or going the wrong way on others, it is unlikely they are using Waze. We have the neighborhood mapped appropriately according to what roads are legal to use, what roads are one way, etc. We also have the speed limit mapped, which Waze users will see in the app.
Your best course of action may be to request traffic calming measures from your municipality, such as speed bumps.
