I would like to request a new type of manager be created aside from Area Managers, a new manager called a State Manager. A State Manager would have the ability to edit anywhere in the state they are located in once approved by their own regions Regional Coordinator. I know with Rank 5 achievement you can be granted ability to edit anywhere in the United States, however I feel that someone being a Rank 4 should be eligible for some special privileges too since being a Rank 4 editor as of right now doesn’t really grant you the ability to do anything special and a Rank 3 or lower can easily become a Area Manager. State Managers would be only for Rank 4 or higher who have proven creditable edits and are actively involved in the Waze community. Reason I am suggesting, I am not really concerned with Rank or Points, however I often see UR’s outside my area of editing and they simple go untouched because there are no editors in that area. I feel like the longer a report goes unresolved, that causes Wazers to lose faith in Waze and then the community as a whole suffers due to people not using Waze compared to other navigation apps
State Managers can assist with the following:
- They can assist with direct takes delegated by the Regional Coordinator
- Moderate the forum for the State they are located
- Review edits & make sure editors are compliant with Waze established Wiki & Guidelines
- Maintain/Update the States Wiki Page
- Review confirmed Speed & Red Light Cameras and ensure accuracy
- Review all Interstate/Freeways for accuracy and lock to prevent damage
- Respond to URs across the states
