Right Address Wrong Location

Hello. My house is situated down a long driveway which creates a problem when people try to navigate to my home because the “pin” associated with my address sits at my actual house and not at the entrance to the driveway. I keep encountering an issue where Waze directs people to a parking lot that sits behind my property but is in no way linked to my property. I was wondering if my address could be edited to reflect the entrance to my driveway instead of the house itself? Thank you.

Thanks for letting us know!

You can go into the Map editor and change that yourself (see below), or if you let us know the address here we can do it for you.

Find your street, select it with the mouse

Tap the button for “Edit House Numbers”

Drag the circle for your House Number’s stop point to the driveway, leave the number itself where it is.

Save and end

Awesome! I think that may have worked. Thanks so much

I just went there and added the driveway and a Residential Place Point. Make sure you are using the city name of Blue Bell, PA. Not sure if that is your USPS city name but that is the city name in Waze. the misroute was likely from a Google Result. By me adding the Private Road and the Residential Place Point, Waze users will be directed right up the driveway. If you have HOME stored in your Waze app, you will need to wait about 3 days (when you see your driveway appear on the Waze App) and then delete HOME and any stored searches for this address from Waze History. Then manually enter the address again in the search bar and it should work for you. Then you can re save HOME in the app. Regards.

A million thanks! The private road was the answer! It’s working perfectly.

Glad you are happy. Waze on.
