After editing a lot of connection roads especially the Dxxxx once, I’m convinced that we have to classify these once as primary Roads, because if we classify them as road or 4x4 drive it is:
a.) difficult to edit them with low zoom
b.) using them for navigation, these roads wouldn’t shown if you drive on normal speed on a higher ranges road.
Y propose classify them as primary street (due to in Waze we are missing a primary not paved road) like we do this in South America.
How I made :
TAH and Autoroutes are Freeways
Big paved roads linking big city to other ones are Major Highways
Roads linking citys are Minors
Paved roads within citys are Primary
Other roads are Street.
You already know me. I’ve been doing a lot of Namibian editing.
Namibia’s main roads are all named “B” roads. Therefore all B roads are freeways. All C roads are major highways as they are the smaller versions of the B roads, linking between certain cities, but not being vital arteries.
The rest is at your discretion. Think about all the other roads before changing road types if you’re from here.
Also, please ask myself if you’re not sure. If I don’t get back to you quick enough Antonello (Anto64) is always helpful and fast.
Please consider that it takes hours to create these roads and we’re doing it for free, so please don’t simply mess someone’s roads up.
This is all correct, the onliest problem I’ve seen is that 4x4 roads don’t appear in the map on my smartphone if I’m travelling on a higher speed (more then 40 mph). Maybe I should change my Phone.
