Hi Editors,

I’d appreciate your assistance with adding a road closure.

Reason:

The highlighted segments have been permanently closed due to the construction of a new student union building on the campus of Arkansas Tech University. These roads have been removed and several adjacent buildings have been demolished.

Thanks for reaching out David and letting us know about the change in the campus roadways. I’ve modified the map based upon your description and the campus map. If time permits would you look over the roadways and parking lots adjacent to the construction and let me/us know if more changes are needed? Do you know if there is a timeline for the new main entrance on the east side? Thanks for your help.

I appreciate the response to the requested road closure.

The parking lot to Chambers cafeteria, just north of this change is also closed (See permalink below). I did not originally include this segment as I was unable to select only this segment, but now can.

I have not recently heard anything related to the new entrance to the University. I received regular updates while Dr. Robin Bowen was president. Since she left about a year ago, I have heard nothing.

I know the funding was a joint effort between the University and the State, so it is possible that you could get an update from ArDOT.

Sorry that I am not more helpful, but if I hear anything, I will let you know.

If you have a moment can you take a look and let me know if the segments in the permalink below should be connected or if there is still a gate blocking the flow? I could not discern from the school campus map if these have a name.
