Hi Editors,
I’ll appreciate your assistance with adding a road closure.

Reason:
Thank you in advance,
Hello.
To process your request, the following information is missing: the date of the first night and the date of the last night. Additionally, it is important to know whether the closure will be every night or with breaks on weekends; in such a case, please specify exactly during which nights (between which days) there will be no closures.
The closures are only at night between 21:00 and 05:00
The closures are only from Sunday to Thursday
The closures begin on 28/06/2026 and are expected to end on an estimated date of 20/08/2026
Thank you in advance,
Thank you for the detailed response.
Is there an official notice regarding the works? On the municipality website, for example. Please attach it here to the thread.
P.S. I noticed you created an event “renewing Weizman” that ends on 01.11.2028. If the renovations are to be carried out segment by segment, it is better to create separate events for each segment with its own timeframe rather than a global one for the project, as additional alerts will not be received when work finishes in one segment and moves to the next. For now, I recommend setting the event’s end date to match the completion of the works on the first segment. A new event should be opened later for the next segment. It is also preferable to add the event name in Hebrew as well. Additionally, the event description field should be filled in. For example: “Between 28.06.2026 and 20.08.2026, the segment of Weizman Street westbound from the intersection with Tel-Hai Street to the intersection with Herzl St will be closed to traffic between 21:00 and 05:00 every night, except for the nights between Friday and Saturday.”
If needed, I would be happy to help with updating the event.
So the first section is in two phases and will last about 11 months in total.
Here is information on the municipal website.

Thank you.
I saw here that the first phase continues for about three months. About a month and a half in the first section and then about a month and a half in the parallel section.
Let’s do it this way:
- An event for the first section, restricted to the dates 28.06.2026–20.08.2026. In the description, write about the closure. This will also be the text in the notification drivers receive.
- For this event, we will add closures according to the schedule: Sun–Thu 22:00 – 05:00.
If there are any changes, such as work finishing earlier or later than the scheduled date, please update the thread here at least three days in advance.
This way, before work starts on the second side, we will create a new event so that drivers receive a heads-up with new text from the new event’s description, and we will set closures accordingly.
All this is intended to ensure that drivers receive more concrete information about exactly which sections will be closed.
Is this feasible?
Great, just important to note that closing starts at 21:30 and not at 22:00. They just changed it from 21:00 to 21:30.
And I would also appreciate it if you could carry this out.
I see you’ve already added the road closures and adjusted the event slightly. However, there are a few refinements needed:
-
In the event “renewing Weizman stage 1”, you didn’t include a Hebrew name and description. As a result, drivers approaching the start of the works will receive a “renewing Weizman stage 1” notification without an explanation. It’s better to add a description as I demonstrated earlier, and set the end date to match the end of the works in the first section.
A Hebrew name and description can be added after clicking the “Edit” button with the Chinese characters and selecting Hebrew.
-
Before starting works on the other side of the road, it’s also better to add a separate event with a description. Otherwise, drivers won’t receive advance alerts.
-
If a closure needs to end at a round hour (in this case 05:00), you should enter the end time as one minute before — 04:59 — because the closure remains active until the end of the last minute you defined. Based on your setting, the closure in the app will end at 05:01.
Thanks, I’ll make the corrections according to your recommendations.
