As of 16:00 Thursday 5th March, the closure of Cotgrave road at it’s junction A606 Melton Road is not correctly marked.
The road is closed in both directions to all traffic between the Melton Road junction and Clipstone Lane. GPS reference
52°53’34.5"N 1°05’03.3"W to 52°53’37.6"N 1°04’57.1"W.
Closure from 7am on 4th March until 6pm on 24th March.
A diversion sign at 52°54’12.3"N 1°04’16.3"W directs traffic along Cotgrave Lane.
However this road as a permanent obstruction at 52°54’28.1"N 1°04’34.6"W for traffic heading in a northerly direction, causing major tailbacks in both directions for most of the day .
Please also note that the phasing of the traffic lights at 52°53’51.4"N 1°05’47.5"W has not been adjusted to account for the massive increase in traffic attempting to turn right onto A606 Melton Road
