Attached is a map showing all the current road closures in Barre City, VT as published by the city govt this morning. The road closures are due to flooding damage— roads washed out, bridges damaged, repairs being made, etc. These closures have been a constant since the flooding on 7/10/23 and many of them aren’t expected to be cleared within days. I cannot report them individually since I can’t drive there, so I’m hoping the New England map editor can mark them. Some of them are primary access routes to I-89 for people arriving/departing Barre, so it would be helpful to have them marked.(unavailable attachment: IMG_2272.png)
Thank you for posting this map, it’s really helpful.
The volunteer editors in VT are working on making sure these roads are closed in Waze.
We’ve been able to keep up with most of the major state and US routes, however, tracking down the local closures is very difficult, and we really appreciate the assistance!
Glad to be of help! I live in the area and had the same frustration trying to figure out what local roads are closed. Facebook is often the only place to find the info.
In the surrounding Barre town area, there are only 4 closures:
Gun Club Rd.
Sterling Hill Rd.
Lower Usle Rd.
Holden Rd (from Ellenwood to Dashire Ln)
This info is from the Town of Barre’s website (barretown.org)
