I have picked up this UR and the user has reported that while entering the roundabout from the A58 the voice commands for Waze advise to follow the A643, when all the roadsigns, and road markings refer to the A58 - there is no signage mentioning A643.
So my question is - to correct voice routing, should this section of road be renamed A58, or have it named A58 / A643 … or basically leave it as it is?!
I like to see Waze match up to whatever I see out the window, it just makes it so much easier when driving on unfamiliar roads and in this case I notice that not only does it say A58 on the road signs but also painted on the road in the lane markings.
The second thing I like is the shortest possible voice instructions so my vote would be for A58 only although I rarely hear voice instructions as I have Radio 2 turned up loud and when that goes pear shaped at 7pm I 'll switch to Pink Floyd on CD so the tiny speaker in the phone have no chance. :lol:
The third thing I like is the least clutter on the screen, I’ve only got an iPhone which when mounted at arms length is not easy to read (with 50 year old eyes without reading glasses) :roll: so if it says A58/A643 it’s harder to read so that’s another vote for just A58.
Coming from the south the road is marked as A643 all the way up, so I think it’s only these top segments that should be A58. The ramp then takes traffic to where the A58 goes west.
@Timbones - you are correct, and I should have been specific when I said ‘these segments’ … the ones I meant are exactly the ones you have highlighted in your link … just the southbound section.
