With recent activity in road editing several problems emerged.
Well, it’s really good to have more editors, as there is too much to be done here in Korea. So many roads are non-existing, gas stations are not mapped, not to many landmarks.
But… but the most important thing and the highest priority is navigation! If, by editing, some of you ruin navigatability (ability to navigate properly) of the existing, well mapped roads - this makes me feed very sad, really. Beauty of the road must not be of higher importance to proper intersection mapping!
Editings like these:

are not beneficial to other drivers. And, by the way, before recent road splittings these roads were properly navigatable.
So, please, please, please!!! Don’t split roads where it is not necessary! Place English names, as they are available on road signs in Korea, don’t invent your own names. Use what is already provided.
Concentrate on mapping new roads, correcting turn restrictions, placing new landmarks and making navigation with Waze a lot more fun.
Otherwise there will be no other solution for me except placing 3-level lock on important roads to prevent editing damage.
Thank you for understanding!

PS: We’d better organize some kind of Waze Editor party and discuss editing with a pint of beer ![]()
I totally agree with your opinion, Yury. Most of my editing work in last few weeks were to merge split roads.
Unfortunately, It seems that most of the split roads were created by newbie who did not even check the basic editing rules and It seems that a lot of korean editors don’t know the existence of this board as well as wiki waze.
I think that the first thing we have to do is to interpret “wiki/waze” into korean.
P.S : Please, post your article in Korean if possible.
