Roads that don't exist

I’m a nomadic traveler (see sigline for more information) and I’ve found a whole bunch of roads that do not exist. The roads on Waze are there, but the turns are restricted, so what is the use of having the roads on Waze, especially since the road itself does not exist. Some “look” to follow power lines, but then again, the entrance is gated. I did check that it is not BLM, but rather private property as the fences are all posted private property.

Would you be OK with me removing these misc. roads from locations I have seen and know are not roads?

Yeah a lot of those (especially in rural Wyoming) are basemap imports that ‘somewhat’ follow a trail or a man-made path. If the road really does not exist and won’t affect routing for normal users, go ahead and delete them

I would, but I’m only here a very short time. In about a week I will be harassing the Colorado Waze editors. :slight_smile:

Hi. I’m in Rock Springs and edit all across Wyoming. Where are you travelling/editing in Wyoming?

Near and around Glendo. There are many roads that simply don’t exist in real life. Waze says “here is a road”, but when I’m looking, there is a fence and no road. Sometimes there is a gate, but again, if you drove in there you would be ruining someone’s crops or have to battle the cattle.

Can I get one of you to delete that road, all by itself? It doesn’t exist and I can’t delete it as it is just outside of my 1 mi editable area. In fact, it is a little triangle that I can’t edit and that road is inside that triangle.

FYI - Most of the roads are either old bike trials, easements for power lines, or just some tracks that are kind of visible on the satelite view, but don’t exist.
