Route 24 and Route 44 intersection in Raynham construction

The bridge that brings Route 44 over route 24 is being replaced. Temporary traffic changes have been made. See link below.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve made changes to Waze’s map based on that info, but it will be 2-3 days before updates take effect.

Hey mudge42. Does waze have the ability to schedule a temporary road closure? (I believe it does based on some things I’ve seen on the map)

MassDOT has published two temporary closures.

Specifically:
MassDOT will implement a full closure of Route 44 east and westbound where the bridge is located over Route 24. The closures will be overnight from Friday, January 25, through Sunday, January 27 from 10:00 PM each night until 5:00 AM the following morning. The overnight closures are necessary to demolish a portion of the Route 44 bridge over Route 24. Route 24 north and southbound will also be closed under the bridge to protect the traveling public. Detours will be in place for the following travel directions, and signage will be in place.

It’s not really clear, but route 24 will be open but they will detour around the closed section of the highway.

Thanks for the heads up. The MA DOT is a CCP (community partner) and they are quite active on the map… Usually the week prior to any closures they will enter those applicable changes in time for the closure to be live on the app. As of today, the segments do not have any closures but I would expect them to appear this week.
