On previous GPS devices I have had, they have had the capability of saving the last couple of roads driven on the map. Does Waze have this functionality?
Waze calculates the fastest route each time, so saving a driven route would defeat that purpose.
Waze does not do this, but it would be an amazing feature to save custom routes. We have long trips we take frequently to family and we prefer the “easier” drive compared to what Waze calculates, but thenwe have to remember all the turns each time. In that use case it would be very nice to open a custom route for Waze to take us through our preferred route.
On your alternate routes Waze shows with a small red heart you preferred route , than you are free to select your preferred route…or another one
If you want to remember specific locations or destinations, you can save them:
- Open Waze.
- Find the location you want to save by searching or on the map.
- Tap on the location to open its details.
- Select “Save” and choose a category or create a new one
