Hi Editors,

I would like to be able to edit the following segment(s).
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Reason: need to add Struthers Curve .
Unlock to level:

Thank you in advance,

Hey -

Sure let’s give it a try and see how it works. Change the street name to “Struthers Curve” and so it will route, add “Hwy 778” [no city] to the alternate name.

Segment is unlocked - report back when done.

Hey @G-A-Harding,

This unlock request is still outstanding - where you able to complete the change?

Hello : Just did it . for some reason I was not getting notifications when someone replied to my topics . Thanks . It worked great . That is one done of the four to do .

Another , this will be Fyrk curve . https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=52.84533&lon=-105.28398&s=1125902124686613&zoomLevel=15&segments=61016626

Another , this will be Macleod curve https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=52.80847&lon=-105.29806&s=1125902124686613&zoomLevel=15&segments=60919341

the last one , Cleghorn curve https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=52.94625&lon=-105.13851&s=1125902124686613&zoomLevel=15&segments=522991494

appreciated

Struthers Curve looks perfect! Its relocked.

Fyrk McLeod, and Cleghorn are unlocked for you - reply when finished

As for the forums notifications, figured such - theres a post on how to enable them, they recently updates and requires a few steps

all done and thanks

Looking at the Fyrk curve , it is ONLY the left part of the curve , not the full curve ? Does that make sense ?

Relocked

Not sure what you mean by Fyrk - you mean how it extends further east onto the main grid?
It shouldn’t matter - but what can be done is we can split the road (to do such connect a new segment, then delete the new segment) and will leave a node where can name each as different segment name.

Will attempt after I get back from hockey . thanks

Hello : something weird when coming back from hockey , the Cleghorn curve “name” is on the map , but not the curve ? I do see the curve in the map editor ?

False alarm , the curve is back ? A glitch . thanks for your help . As the RM names more curves , they will contact me .

Sounds good - the curve name on the map will depend on the zoom level of the user.

But while they’re driving and a route active, they’ll see it as they transit across the segment in the bubble on the bottom - It should be sufficient for visual navigational aid purposes -

appreciate the help

Just talked with the RM Lady , A another curve is being named “Bacon curve” https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=52.93122&lon=-105.21031&s=1125899977202965&zoomLevel=16&segments=60997968

Sure thing - unlocked

Could add the Speed limits on these grids too - are they 80 km/hr?

Finished the Bacon curve , the ONLY curve that has a speed limit 60 KM/hr , it the Macleod curve

Thanks Bruce for all your help , could you please unlock the Macleod curve https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=52.80630&lon=-105.29401&s=1125899977202965&zoomLevel=18

I will add the 60 KM/hr . appreciated

Sure - is the signed speed a regulatory (black on white) or advisory (black on yellow)?

If it’s advisory, we generally don’t add those to the segment as they’re “recommended” non-binding.
Only the regulatory signs are enforceable - so if there’s an advisory sign we’ll just add the regular enforced limit - generally.
There maybe a few instances where we may add the advisory instead - say if its a hair-pin corner where its reduced by like 40-50 km/hr.

Hope that makes sense.

thanks , I understand .
