[Script] Highlighter City (2.0.0.4 / 1.7.1.35)

Highlighter City @ userscripts.org or @ greasyfork.org (HiLiCi) is a fork of TimBones WME Color Highlights setting up on his version 1.7.2. As most important addition it checks for some countries (Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein, Norway, Australia, France, Mexico, Italy, Puerto Rico, Netherlands and Brazil) the correctness of the content of the city field.
If you want this feature for your country, ask me.
If you want to know the list of valid city names for your country - click on the link.
Now HiLiCi is splited in a loader (which handes the city-lists und loads the script) and the highlighter, so there will only few updates at userscripts.
So I will have here a version log:

Changes to work with the new ß-WME

New in version: 2.0.0.0 / 1.7.0.8
Since version 1.7.0.0 the script consists of two pieces of code. A loader which handles the city-lists and loads the highlighter and the highlighter itself. Now the loader is changed so that it loads the newest script whithout the necessity of manual update. This is the reason for version 2.0. New to the highlighter is that landmarks are shown red, when it fits to the seleced country and “Filter by country” is selected.

Old news from userscripts.org
New in version: 1.6.8.5
Colored Restrictions (purple dashed)
green and blue landmarks are darker, if they have no city

Colors are slow-red to middle-blue and yellow/green for fast. Black is for no speed-info.

New in version: 1.6.8.7
Nodes with only one connected segment are show with a blue circle. If this is on a road, you can assume there is no connection between the roads. This feature is switched together with “Unterminated roads”.

New in version: 1.7.0.2
Some changes in the inner structure, so it will work again with FireFox with a version >= 25.

New in version: 1.7.0.6
Check for correct road name typing. For Austria, Germany and Switzerland road names are checked for some misstypes. This feature is enabled with “Check Name”, which replaces “No Street”

Thanks to carloslaso.
I think it works for Mexico too.

best regards
Alex

Thanks for improving upon the already great WME Colour Highlights tool. I especially like the speed view, however I currently find the colours used confusing. If this could be changed to simple colours such as green for fast, yellow for average and red for slow with gradual colours in-between, that would be great.

There is a new version of the Highlighter City.
Look at the top.

I will think about this.

There is a litte update, look at the top.

This is just what we have been looking for. Thank you Alex!

If you have a list of valide Italian cities and you send it to me…

Again a little update.

Whats new in version: 2.0.0.0 / 1.7.1.14

Waze has removed the speed value from the segment attributes. So Speed view and the speed values of a selected segment will not work.

This is a reaction from the beta-Forum. I hope “now” means, that the speeds will come later correct again.

I currently have an issue when using both HiLiCi and WME Toolbox. Toolbox’s auto-hide feature does not work any more, as long as I have HiLiCi activated. To be precise, the left tab vanished and never comes back in this case. Only a reload helps then.

I do not know - of course - if this is a bug in HiLiCi, or in WME Toolbox, or both.

I have this problem only with Firefox and there it don’t matter if HiLiCi is on or not. So I think with Firefox the Toolbox didn’t recognize that the mouse is on the left side to reopen the window.
HiLiCi create only at the begin the “HiLiCi” tab, afterwards it works only passive with the sidebar.

I am using Chrome, with Tampermonkey scripts. There, this happens always if HiLiCi is also enabled (next to Toolbox), and it does not happen when HiLiCi is disabled. And I have tried many combinations of scripts to narrow this in.

I’m currently having problems clicking on the Highlighter City tab. When I click on it, the properties for it does not appear for both public and beta wme.

Edit:

This problem only will appear after you click permalink a segment and click else where. After that clicking on the tab does not show the Highlighter City properties. Hope you get it.

I have added some little features, look here

Thanks. Will check it out when have access to pc. Been busy for past two weeks with my office work lately.

In Firefox/Gracemonkey and Chrome/Tampermonkey HiLiCi doesn’t work anymore. No matter what i select in the tab, nothing is highlighted on the map. The city name check also doesn’t work, i.e. there’s no message when a “wrong” city is in screen.

Greetings from markuschen

I can confirm this (non-)behaviour.
