URC - UrComments
Version 1.7.2
UR Comments is a script designed to streamline the process of responding to Update Requests. It can autofill the comment box based on UR type, or you can manually choose from the list of responses, depending on your preference.

URComments also provides filters and settings to show different UR types.

Note: Holding the mouse over any of the items will show tool tips describing the function or displaying the text to be used.

This script can be found at

Old documentation can be found at

Before using the script for decision-making please read the new features slide show to see what has changed. Usage of the new features is split between the new features slide show and the new instructions.

Please note that the Filters and Auto Reminders work in conjunction with the “Reminder days” and “Close days” settings under the filter’s tab.

For auto reminders and filtering, set the “Reminder days” and “Close days” settings to the days that are allowed / used in your area.

Before enabling “auto reminders” make sure reminders are allowed / preferred in your area!

To translate the comments into another language there is now a tutorial on how to edit the custom comments file - https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1f_oFpJwa6FyUEhQOCFhMcG8SY9_xoPSAc9gwyDIXf08/edit?usp=sharing

Install and edit this file directly if you wish to use your own comments.

pre-use warning this removes most of the clicks needed to deal with a UR and has a handful of options that do things automatically.

The comment lists are stored locally, for a personal backup I recommend copying the list to a google drive or drop-box account(s).

For other languages, the plan is that each language would have their own greasyfork account and manage their own list. Then the file would be uploaded to greasyfork and I would add the language’s name to the comments dropdown. Then the languages could be installed as language packs.

We are experimenting with getting the script to work in Dutch. If anyone wants to try another language please contact me.

Czech

I am trying to make this work in Portuguese (Brazilian). However, I am having trouble to load it in WME.
Any suggestions?
TKS

I am in Chrome, but the script is not loading the its own tab in the left panel of WME.
I have the latest version of URO+ as well,
Tried to restart the browser, but still no luck.
Any suggestion?

sorry i missed your first message,

how are you attempting to get it to work in Brazilian? are you using the custom comments file?
if you edited my main script and have an error the script will not load, try reinstalling the script with out editing and see if it loads.

oh yes in Spanish!

if you are willing to translate the list into Spanish contact me directly and i will explain how.

Dear Rick,
Actually, I do not have modified anything in the script since I am not being able to load it up in WME.
BTW, my intention is to translate to Brazilian portuguese as did by other fellows (e.g. Dutch).
Of course, the translation would be applied only in the “comments script” not the main script itself.
But, before this effort, I need to make it load. Until now, I have reinstalled and restarted WME, but no luck to show the tab in left panel…
I am not sure what is happening since other scripts (e.g. URO+, Highlights, etC) are working perfectly…
Any guess???

I am not sure if there is any incompatibility, but I am also running the AutoUR script…
I will try to disable it and let you know.

I sometimes use auto ur side by side with UR Comments. since the WME update Auto Ur has not been working, supermedic is working on a fix.

I think your problem was my fault I uploaded a version with a missing comma. Try to force a update or reinstall at greasyfork.

PERFECT Rick.
Working like a charm,
Thanks a lot for your assistance.
Now, I would like to start working in the translation of comment script to Brazilian Portuguese.
Could you help me on that?
Is there any specific step I should do?

lots of very specific steps, step one message me on gmail @ rickzabel

OK.
just sent you an email.

I already have most if the URs translated into Spanish, I will see if there are new UR messages later.

Carlos si los tienes en español cual es el link, para descargarlos. tks

Oh sorry for write in spanish

no download link yet we are working on it today.

How about making the language selectable, or automatic based on the wme language? Just a thought, instead of maintaining different scripts

the main purpose in having separate language files is so that the creator can update their file whenever they need. If i included each language all of the changes would have to go trough me which sounds like more of a pain for everyone.
