[Script] WME GIS Layers

Seems something is broken with their service today. I’ll try to remember to look again later.

The parcel data for Montgomery County Texas is no longer showing up. When I checked in the console I found the message “GIS Layers: Error in layer “Montgomery Co - Parcels”: Cannot perform query. Invalid query parameters.”. The layer id is tx-montgomery-co-parcels.

Thanks for a great script.

I can confirm that it isn’t working. Thank you if you can get it fixed! It’s very valuable to my home area.

Sean

Montgomery County TX has been fixed.

Thank you so much!!!

Sean

Is anyone else seeing the GIS layers not updating when scrolling? Since the last WME update, I’m having to turn GIS Layers off and back on after scrolling to get the layers to update.

I have had that happen too. When I use an old WME no issues, but if I open a new one GIS is gone until I close and open the GIS script.

Any chance of getting Chambers County, TX added to GIS Layers?

Not sure what goes into getting something added to GIS, but here’s their website (or the index page for their website). Chambers County, TX http://www.chamberscad.org/. Thank you for looking into this for us.

Sean

Unfortunately Chambers, TX uses pandai.com for their mapping, which doesn’t use ArcGIS formatting, but WMS. This would require quite specific code changes to handle the difference in request and response data. To add to that, pandai don’t seem to provide any details past the parcel ID, so the request for additional information has to get sent onto the Chambers, TX CAD for lookup.

Forsyth County GA moved their GIS as of yesterday:
https://forsythcoga.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0ba0bbacf6fe4162bbdd360c0b397bb5

Found from here: https://geo-forsythcoga.opendata.arcgis.com

Right now all GIS layers for Forsyth County GA are broken.

Also is it possible to get city limits added as an overlay for Cumming? On that page try to add a layer “Cumming” and it will suggest the city limits layer.

The first post in this thread describes how to get links updated. You need to get access to your state’s spreadsheet, or contact someone who has access.

Thanks

Here is another resource that can be useful:

USFS is a national one that will pair well with the NPS one: https://apps.fs.usda.gov/arcx/rest/services/EDW/EDW_ForestSystemBoundaries_01/MapServer

Ok, we added the USFS administrative boundaries (National Forests) layer at all zooms. Note since they’re so big, you may never find the label at the middle of the polygon.

GIS Layers isn’t working this morning, and I am seeing this message in the console:

GIS Layers: Error in US Census counties data: Failed to execute query.

Anyone else having this problem?

GIS Layers is down for everyone. This has been reported in the Scripts Server on Discord. They say it is because the US Gov County Boundary Layer is down (master source) Once it is back up, all should work.

Looks like it’s working again!

Any chance of Chesterfield, VA GIS being compatible?
