[Script] WME Me!

Introducing WME Me!

If the ‘Me!’ layer is turned on, you are drawn on your screen where everyone else can see you. If you are invisible in chat, you will be faded out. When you drag the map, you will see a faded indicator in the middle of the screen that you can use to position yourself and then your ‘Me’ hardhat will move to the new location.

Suggestions are welcome!

Thanks. This will make live editing with another editor a little easier. :slight_smile:

Sweet! Nice work :slight_smile:

Nice work indeed! Small issue with international WME;

change

// @match        https://www.waze.com/editor/*

To

// @match        https://*.waze.com/*editor*

And all editors around the world can see ME in action :slight_smile: Thanks for the cool script

Script has been updated accordingly. Thanks for the feedback!

This is wonderful… Now I can place myself somewhere in the corner

With the new WME release the Me! script seems to get turned on every single refresh for me. Anyone else having seeing this issue? I usually have it unchecked in the layer menu.

Yep. Not sure this isn’t a base WME issue. Not sure why Me! is the only one seemingly affected though.

Same thing here. I’ve temporarily disabled the script in the browser tools (Firefox), unless I need it.

Exactly what I did.

Great script… Would it be possible to have the script pick up my user name so If I do a screen shot it says my name rather that Me… Thanks You JD Brooklyn NY USA

Good job, excellent initiative. Would it be possible to have the script pick up my user name If I throw a screen that says my name instead of me.

Thanks

Buenos días, estoy intentando instalar el Me WME! ye siempre me dice que es invalido.
quisiera saber como hacer para instalarlo

About two or three days ago the layer for WME Me! is not showing anymore. It is because the WME was updated again?

It only works if WME is in English

Repost… Still would like to see this added thanks John

As a quick hack you can change line 80 to this:

$(icon.imageDiv).append($('<div>' + W.loginManager.user.userName + '</div>').css('position','absolute').css('text-align','center').css('pointer-events','none').css('font-size','12px').css('top','2px').css('color','white'));

Thanks … You guys amaze me with your coding knowledge… JD

It appears that the asset has relocated. Anyone know the correct URL?

https://www.waze.com/assets-editor/images/live-wazer.png is the image that gives a 404 Error
