[Script] WME Place Harmonizer: Version 1.1, Mar 2016

Is the international version stalled? Can we help you with making that happen?
I would LOVE this script to go world wide  :ugeek:

Apologies, my time to work on the script has been diminished recently due to a family issue. i still have plans to extend the script to outside of US/CAN, especially since many of the bugs now seem to be worked out for the current NA version.

I meant no atack on you  I just wondered if I could maybe help out
I hope the family issue isn’t too bad. And thank you for a amazing script!

Wow, awesome script, I need it for France hehe. Good job

It appears that after today’s WME update, the HL/Scan highlighter is no longer working. Can anyone else confirm?

Yes, not working for me either. I think this WME update broke a lot of scripts.

yes, it’s not working for me also. This is my goto script for finding places that need some love. Hope it gets an update soon.

I just heard about this one recently, and wanted to check it out. Quick question: How tolerant is it of specific page websites for a store in a chain? For example, I tend to be somewhat AR about providing as precise info on a website link in the app as I can be, and if a chain provides a specific page for a specific store, I will add that to the website field rather than just the parent corporation page.

For example, McDonald’s provides pages for each store, so instead of simply putting in http://www.mcdonnalds.com, I’ll put in https://mylocalmcds.com/winnie-lane-mcdonalds/ as the website. (http: works for that site, it’s just that it’ll redirect you to https: for it, so I just put it in to eliminate the extra hop - however, since I see from the many screenshots/casts that we don’t actually need http:// for it to be usable in the app and that this removes that, I have no problem with it doing that and will no longer be putting that info in when adding a website.)

I don’t necessarily expect that this will have all those bits of information for specific stores (though it would be nice :D), I’m just wanting to know if it’s going to complain to me about it because I took the time to put that info in. My preference is to provide the Waze user with as specific information as possible if they hit the website link for a business when looking it up, and taking them directly to the individual store page instead of the main corporate page for the chain does that.

Dave, you may/probably will get a complaint. Or, alternately, let the script auto fill and then go back and change the url before you save.

Yup, I just got to see it in action with a CVS Pharmacy location. Yeah, it complained. At least I can whitelist it so it stops complaining about it after the fact, so there’s that.

It would be nice if there was a way to whitelist a chain where you know you’re going to be doing that, so every single one doesn’t have to be whitelisted, but I can see where that wouldn’t necessarily be desirable due to possibility of bad sites being there. So better to have it make you check to verify and then whitelist each one.

Fellow editors, I am working on the script to get it up to spec for the new version. A family issue continues to occupy much of my free time at the moment, but I hope to address the dozen or so bug reports sent in the past month soon, as well as the broken issues from the latest WME update. Thank you for your patience.

Cheers

I been encountering some issues recently with the script green lighting a place with no address associated with it. This has happened with stores that were on the harmonization list. I know sometimes we dont have an address but ideally any place we are harmonizing should always have an address.

Follow up question. Why do some locations ask for a separate place for the pharmacy and others such as CVS say put the hours in the description? Shouldn’t the practice be the same across all scenarios?

I lost all of the colors today :frowning:

Same thing. Each new session that I edit the previously completed places don’t show their green.

[BUG]
at this Barnes & Nobles in Vermont it is asking if there was a Gas Station

Out of my editing area, but, I just ran WMEPH and the question I got was “Is there a CAFE at this location?”

Here a screen shot now saying Undefined

Weird, granted I’m on a beta version of WMEPH, but BMTG didn’t change anything that should affect this. I’m getting Cafe question.

Were there any recent changes to WME, as this morning I am finding that it keeps giving me a missing city error for places, tried quitting browser, restarting still the same issue.
