NEW - If using the PLA fill option, public lots are filled blue to stand out more from restricted lots.
NEW - En dash is treated as a valid name suffix separator (like a hyphen).
NEW - Ability to check for alternate versions of brand name in place name.
FIXED - Gas station brand not being copied to empty name field if no PNH match.
NEW - Added buttons to âconfirm public PLAâ message, to allow quick change to restricted or private.
FIXED - Name suffixes inside parens repeated with each run of WMEPH in some scenarios.
NEW - Added message to suggest reviewing wiki when setting parking lot type to Public.
FIXED - Residential places should not show âAdd servicesâ buttons.
FIXED - Copying services to/from PLA to/from non-PLA should not be allowed.
Thatâs actually a lot more complicated than it sounds. There are so many variations, it makes pattern matching impossible to do reliably (Iâve tried). Some companies provide (paid) online parsing services, but they actually maintain a database of addresses and combine that with some AI to help parse them.
Thatâs probably MoM that needs to handle that. With that said, there doesnât seem to be a huge difference between production and beta as MoM moves pretty quick with updates.
Thereâs a few features (like copy/paste place info) that are only available to L2+ editors OR beta users. I figured it would be quicker to get added to the beta than to make L2 and would mean I no longer have to manually hack the script to access full functionality
I find WMEPH-AutoRunOnSelect, WMEPH-EnableCloneMode, and WMEPH-AddAddresses to be useful. I could see the last being potentially âdangerousâ to someone not paying attention but the first two, WMEPH-EnableCloneMode in particular, save me a bunch of time while editting.
The copy / paste (clone) option really comes in handy when Iâm cleaning up parking lots as quite a few have been added around me with little to no detail and copying the street & city from a business in the lot seems reasonable.
NEW - Post offices now harmonized at a (mostly) national level. Woohoo!
NEW - Title casing is no longer automatic when running WMEPH. Instead youâll get a preview of what the name will be, and youâll need to click a button to apply it.
FIXED - Title casing should handle words like âiPhoneâ, âDeBerryâ, âLeCroyâ, and âLaTonkaâ.
FIXED - URL text entry should do a basic check for a valid URL.
FIXED - Store finder sometimes enters âundefinedâ when the place doesnât have a HN yet.
Loving the Post Office updates. Thanks! Given the work youâve done on POs, is it possible to configure the script to auto insert the leading "Post Office - " phrase in the Name and then provide a whitelistable field to fill in the station to be auto-inserted after that with the increase in standard formatting?
Glad itâs working for you! I think for your suggestion to work, the name would need to be blank and Post Office set as the category (then click the âRun WMEPHâ button). Is that what youâre thinking?
