[Script] WME Place Interface Enhancements

Yes, I know. You never cease to amaze me how quickly you get things working again (not that I’m saying hurry, don’t get me wrong).

The recent beta changes will break the closest segment (hover and select) functionality. I won’t have time today to work on it but will hopefully get to it tomorrow.

There is also the alt-R shortcut for creating an RPP, it just gives a blank details window. This is a great function that I use often. Thanks

Yeah, that’ll be fixed with the closest segment stuff.

Got closest segment working on hover in the latest PIE Beta. Showing when the Place is selected is a bit of an issue, still.

Closest segment in PIE Beta will only work in WME beta. Too complicated to support both WME production and beta with this.

Sounds great. Where do we find beta PIE?

For some reason the closest segment is not working for me this morning. https://prnt.sc/gko6i5

Because of the beta-> production push. I have a fix, but have some paying work that needs done before I can push PIE beta to PIE production.

Thanks Justin.

Update released - 1.02.23

Compatibility changes for latest WME update.

Due to some properties changing/being removed, the closest segment line can no longer be drawn while moving an entry/exit point, but will draw once dropped at the new location.

Hi,
Just came across this script a couple weeks ago, and I’m a complete fan! Thanks for creating it.

Was going to say I was having issues with it working in GM on FF – but I download the FF TM and it’s working great!

Hello, it seems that Nav point linking doesn’t work anymore. The editor returns error when trying to save edits.

Update released - 2017.10.24.01

Updated to work with the recent WME update + new script version numbering scheme.

Thank you for your work to make the script compatible with the new WME release!

I am finding under Map Changes when I tick show place names the names do not remain visible when I pan around the map. When I then get to a new portion of the map they do not show. If I uncheck and check show place names they then show until I pan around again to a new section.

Update released - 2017.10.26.01

Various bug fixes from the past couple of days.

Running 2017.10.26.01 updated 30 minutes ago, on Chrome/Win8.

Unable to reproduce. Disable other scripts and see if it still happens.

All scripts disabled except for PIE. Zoom in to an area (Zoom 7), place names not shown. Disable and re-enable ā€œShow Place namesā€, then names appear. Pan sideways, the new places now brought into view names do not appear. Repeat disable/enable process, names appear.

Close entire browser. Reopen browser and reload WME, it reopens at Zoom 7. Place names still not shown. Repeat disable/enable process. Names reappear on display but again not for subsequent places broght into view by panning.

Love this script, thanks for your help looking into this!

I still cannot reproduce. I’m going to try not to blame the fact that you are running Chrome 5 versions behind current…

I have some delay in the Place names loading at times which seems to correspond with WME loading the layer data super slowly, but I have not had any not load at all. Since it is only like 3 people reporting this as an issue, I’d say it isn’t a problem with the script and more likely a data load issue.
