Thanks! I’ll look into adding that button (or something similar) in the script. I’ll be busy this week though.
Perfect, can you add keyboard shorcut for toggle? Like Shif+R for roads. Thank you!
You’re welcome, I’m to help ![]()
Hi,
Very useful.
Would be possible to include a new feature to define the max. time the SV images?
I.e.: Just show the blue-line on SV images after 2015. This will help to confirm the place/speed confidence on the place.
best regards,
I’m afraid that is impossible for me to do. I don’t have any data to do such filtering on. All I get are the images containing blue lines without any additional data…
URL of WME beta was changed from https://editor-beta.waze.com/editor to https://beta.waze.com/editor and that broke the script.
I’ve adjusted the URL in version 0.4, so normally it should work again as before.
Note that no other changes were made yet.
hi glodenox
pls visit this permalink
- Assuming you already have WME SVA, then please Open the street view
- go to the node B and then go the south east by following the street view picture
- after node B, you will see that the blue line is not there but the street view continue giving the picture…
what is that?
haven’t check from google yet
best,
andy
The same issue appears on Google Maps I see. The service from Google doesn’t show a blue line there, even though there is indeed street view imagery available. I don’t know why exactly this is happening. I can only say I can’t do anything about it, I’m afraid.
I see… so the blue line actually comes from google and the same issue also appears in google maps?
thanks for explanation
Indeed. I only request some information from Google in the shape of images and display those. I have no access to the data that is used to make those images.
Thanks for the script.
This script should be in the Community Plugins, Extensions and_Tools Wiki. ![]()
Yeah, I’ve been waiting for the migration of the wiki for adding some of my scripts, but that seems to be taking quite a while. I might reconsider that.
Version 0.5 has just been released.
I’ve now added the layer to the list of layers in the top right menu as ‘Street View’ so you can toggle the layer whenever you deem it necessary. I’ve also provided the shortcut combination Shift+T to toggle this layer.
It took me a while to get the logic of when not to hide the layer after exiting street view right, but I think the current solution will feel natural in usage.
EDIT: followed with 0.5.1 to remove a debugging statement that was still present (which didn’t have any adverse effects)
With the latest beta the layer toggle is not appearing (as are most other scripts, JAI has just been fixed). Shift-T doesn’t seem to work either.
The scripts will works when grabbing the GSV tool.
Version 0.6 has been released. For people using the beta editor, the layer can be found again in the ‘Roads’ category. I’ve tried to get Shift+T working again, but I seem to be overlooking something at the moment. I’ll have a stab at this again later on.
EDIT: just noticed it gets removed again when going into the Events mode. Not a difficult fix, but it’s a fix I’ll do later on. I suspect some things will still be changing in the beta, so I’m not going to put too much effort into it right now.
IDK about other users of the script, but I’d rather it be in the display mega-layer. Just my 2¢
I can see the reason in that as well. Mostly with the gps trail located there as well. I don’t mind changing that if other people agree.
Frankly, I didn’t put a lot of thought into the actual category. Just getting it to work was more important to me.
Display does sound a bit better to me… not a massive priority, however.
Absolutely, I was thrilled to see you were the first of my ~30-50 apps to appear in the menu! I’m trying to see if I can find the code that causes a sub-layer to be toggled by the parent-layer, but I haven’t found it yet.
Keep up the good work!
