[Script] WME Toolbox

Hmmm, I was able to the other day, but this morning I am not able to.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It has been finicky lately.

I was able to move it yesterday, but not this morning.

Moving the toolbars still works for me but it is very finicky. Both toolbars must be moved slowly and in a somewhat perpendicular direction to the bars with a slow motion up/down or left/right to get them where I want them. Move too fast and nothing happens.

Are you sure you’re using the latest Toolbox release 1.8.7? Moving the cursor fast when dragging Toolbox’ controls shouldn’t be an issue any more in this release.

Same for me with latest FF and TB

Definitely v1.8.7. I use FireFox at work (not by choice) and Chrome at home. I’ll double check on Chrome when I get a chance hopefully later today since I haven’t had to move the bars recently, but I believe its a similar experience on Chrome.

The internal JNF hook is broken, so pressing Q on a node does nothing currently. Working on it.

I am not able to move the toolbox bar and also the fix RevCon button is no longer working :frowning:

Yup, that has the same cause as the currently malfunctioning Q key, will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks Bellhouse

There’s an unusual situation where Toolbox will remove a junction as un-needed when it isn’t. The junction is here.

The junction exists purely to “hold” a Turn Instruction Override. In this case, there is a long lane dedicated to the exit. You need to be in that lane a long way in advance, because by the time Waze says “exit left”, it’s full of crawling traffic whilst 2 lanes speed past and you can’t get into it. So we have a split where the dedicated lane starts that says “keep left”. Then, when you actually leave the motorway, you get an “exit left” instruction.

So I think that a junction with a TIO should not be considered as un-needed.

Absolutely. Won’t happen any more with the next release.

Apologize for delay I have been out of town for the past week. Testing with Chrome I can move the bars around non-perpendicularly and can move fairly quickly with expected results. The bars do jump some while moving, but are much more configurable in placement as compared to Firefox.

Firefox movement must be done slowly and perpendicularly in order to get them to move and are very difficult to get them aligned where you want them. If you move too fast they don’t move. This was tested on the newest Firefox release.

Dragging the controls is definitely still an issue - I see it in Chrome and FF.

Bellhouse - I had to change my scripts that include draggable divs to attach to the “#WazeMap” div instead of “#map” div. That fixed the dragging problems in BeenThere, RA Util, etc. I changed the parent for the dashboard in the console to #WazeMap and it was able to drag correctly again. I would suggest trying this.

Since Tuesday when Waze updated WME I am having some issues all the time - slowly loading everything, lagging etc. I tried to disable all scripts and so far it seems the issues come from WME Toolbox. I am running on Firefox, version 1.8.7. Does anyone have the same issues?

I heard at least one other editor have the same issues.

Best to disable Toolbox unless you really need it
