Strange problem arising yesterday and today with the Roundabout Repair tool.
It either works well
Or it seems to disconnect one of the segments and leave it adrift of the new roundabout, eg this one, if the editor hasn’t fixed it yet.
Or, where there’s a dual carriageway joining the roundabout, one or both carriageways get converted to two-way. That happened on this one, which I had to completely rebuild, and also this one immediately after, which I’ve also rebuilt.
I’m sorry that I didn’t leave the two-way carriageways there, but I felt that was going to confuse everyone driving along there if I left it and an update was run, whereas the broken segment still looks connected, but won’t route through there.

The Toolbox tab no longer shows the X on the page.
The shortcut 1 appears to operate, but it would be good to have those shortcuts listed somewhere in the toolbox tab so we don’t have to come to the forum to remember them.
My little “Toolbox” gray box on the map screen can be moved around the screen (cool!), but none of the links from the last version I used appear any more. Sometime last night I noticed the “Straighten road geometry” link was missing. I only saw a few vertical bars where many of the shortcuts used to appear, and now I see nothing after the Toolbox name.
Likely because inexperienced or ignorant or newbie editors would see this highlight and think there’s something to fix and start destroying valid u-turns on 2-way segments.
Can you enable the highlighting of nodes on all streets? I thought this was supposed to happen, but I’m still only seeing highlighting on primary streets and above.
My rank is properly loaded as I can see it when the page loads.
Side note: Anyway to make the top bar auto hide on page load? I thought I remember it used to do that a long time ago (before this script I mean), but hasn’t worked for me in quite a while…
Side note2: Since deciding to use this, I notice that URs now properly change icon when solved, etc. Interesting…
Shift-f hides the top bar and I think it’s JNF that holds that settings across page loads. Meaning that the page loads the same way that (hidden or not) it was last time the editor closed.
That is interesting. Are you using Addons as well? That’s the extension that is preventing the balloons from changing for me.
Minor problem: Convert roundabout to round road has never worked for me. It looks like it worked but fails on save. This is on the USA editor, either production or beta. Is anyone else in the USA using it successfully?
Highlights on primary and above is managed by WME Color Highlight. Highlight on regular streets is managed by WME Toolbox, if the option is enabled in the Toolbox tab. Please check you’ve enabled it.
The top bar hides itself if you enable the “hide user greetings” feature in Toolbox.
Exactly. New editors have to focus on other things, like learning how to use the editor itself, good editing rules, etc. Don’t forget that most of L1 editors are new editors. When your skill is high enough, you can ask to become an Area Manager. Then AM features become available to you. That’s exactly the same thing in WME Color Highlight.
Selected the option, hid the bar manually, then refreshed and the bar came back. :\ Seems to only hide the large “Hey gohamstergo!” text at top left.
Yup, using addons as well. Maybe it’s just some coincidence, seems to be intermittent actually. Doesn’t work everytime. I’ll fiddle some more and let you know. I’m sure it never changed before tho…hmm…
Oh ok, I knew something did it at some point. Still have JNF, but auto hiding the top bar hasn’t worked for me in a month or two. No clue why.
I’m facing problem using 1.1.2.4. Roads keep loading, and I cannot pan the screen. When I click on the toolbox, it takes quite sometime before I can see the settings. If the toolbox is disabled, I don’t have problem panning the screen and response is fast.
www.wazeteam.com is currently down, which results in WME with Toolbox enabled never finishes loading and the browser going into high CPU util.
Apart from hopefully this gettign solved soon, it would be great if the script be changed so that it doesn’t take down WME and the whole browser wehn it can’t access wazeteam.com
It’s in my todo list to make a better toolbox tab. However all shortcuts are displayed by tooltips when you move the mouse over the buttons of the shortcuts bar.
