try the manual option, please
Still getting the same parse error on what I think is manually loading the script. Sure I am doing something wrong, LOL. ![]()
Will work to resolve it later. Got a little local help from JM. 1.0.98 loaded. Thanks for the continued support of this great script, dbcm!
I am working with Steve in DM to get it resolved
Could you please tell us how did you succeed to load it?
I was able to send Steve the script data in a notepad file and he created a new script in TM, deleted all default information and pasted the script data, saved. Once saved he was able to update to latest version (the script data I sent him was one version low due to an update while I was creating the notepad file)
You can get someone you know that has a working version to send you the data.
Since so many people seem to have trouble installing the script initially, would it be possible to also provide a zipped version of the script that can be loaded via the utility within TamperMonkey? Might make it easier for first time installs, you’ll just have to be sure to include the downloadURL in the script headers. Don’t know if that will help with the parse errors, but I imagine it would
Another way to get WME Magic set up for those who have trouble loading it from the dbcm’s site: follow this link to my GitHub page which will install just the header for the script with version 0.0.0. You will then need to check for userscript updates, which should download the full version
Thanks, crazycaveman! That worked like a charm!
Just stopping by to say thanks. This is likely my most used script in WME. Thanks!
I think I still need some help. I’ve installed the script (see attached screen capture), but I don’t see anything happening. Is there something extra I should do? The forum posts tells me how to install, but not how to use.
T.i.a.
rschalie configure it, activating the options of the screenshot, it will show you the errors!
I’d love to, but I do not see how to get to the configuration. Probably obvious once you know it, but not self-explanatory!
you click on the image below your profile and there you get the configuration
Thanks. But you’ll have to agree that to the uninitiated that’s not really obvious.
okay, after you learn everything it’s easy ![]()
Another thing, more content: A lot of notifications on missing names are referring to bits of water or lines of trees. All those bits of water (ponds, ditches) and trees simply don’t have names, so would it be possible to relax this requirement a bit?
you can deactivate the ones you think are unnecessary, each country has a moderator for the Magic, talk to the Local Champs of your country, successes
There are that many ponds, ditches and trees mapped in WME? That seems a bit overboard IMO.
When you click on the Magic tab, you’ll see check boxes along the left side that you can enable/disable various items. If you have none checked, you can click the “All” on each colored header to check the boxes, then you should see something.
Can we get it so the Narrow road (US-English) or Alley (English) is a red You Must Fix This highlight?
USA has determined not to use this road type and for the new editor, they don’t know so this would make it easier to find.
Suggestion was brought up in the SM Channel and received concurrence would be a good suggestion so posting it here.
