Glad to hear that – that’s what was supposed to have been corrected in this fix.
This might be a problem with the alternative search providers not having the correct information. I’m not exactly sure on the procedures for checking and/or correcting this in your area, but perhaps one of the local editors around you can be of assistance.
This is why we need the option to change the default search provider. I would rather use Google all the time, but perhaps Bing or Yahoo would be better for someone else. Making us select our preferred provider every time is a big waste of the users’ time.
xteejx, your hint does not help. Westbahnhof is one of the major train stations in Vienna and marked as a POI. A couple of weeks ago I saw it one time. And since then nothing.
Additionally: all searches were done with waze only. when I switch to bing or something else, I get no results at all
A few versions ago there was never a problem to search for POIs. If i search for Wien West Bahnhof it gets Wien Bahnhofplatz (waze). Usually it is near a station, but don’t see a poi there for the station on the client. Google has found Wien Westbahnhof, the first entry.
Did a new search yesterday and here are the screenshots:
Waze:
Google:
Summary: google works now, waze still not.
The Train station is marked and named correctly in the editor.
So there is still something weird going on with the search within waze-database …
I shouldn’t be searching for addresses the way Waze proposes to. All of my events already have a verified address using Google Maps. I should be able to just click on the event and have Waze direct me there without having to verify or set the address for the event or any other thing. Google Navigator sends me to the address listed in my calendar right away without having to press any other buttons or do anything else. Why can’t Waze work the same way?
