I have created an account and logged in via desktop computer. Enter a starting point and destination. The map shows the two locations but does not show a route. What are the steps necessary to show the route.I want to see this on my computer rather than on my phone.Thank you for your time.
Are you using Livemap? https://www.waze.com/live-map/
Make sure there actually is a route between your two points and that your route options are set correctly. Or maybe try again, it could have been a temporary routing server issue.
Part of the URL contains …/live-map/… So I believe yes.
Meanwhile, I got it on my phone and it shows me the way. The trip from California to Lousanna is routed way south to avoid road closures that I know about.
I see the map with the endpoint, but there is nothing to make it show the planned route.
I just want to see it on my computer where I can look at things in detail that I cannot see on my phone.
CA to LA may be too long a route for the routing server. You may need to break it up into smaller lengths (try less than 1,000 miles) by setting intermediate stops.
Ok, that is good to know. The problem right now is weather. I think that a few hundred extra miles will be driven to go way south. Example: the Interstate 5 pass called the Grapevine is currently closed. So I don’t know what a close waypoint is.
Still, a long distance should not be a problem. Sounds like a problem waiting to be fixed.
A long distance route has a whole lot of traffic and other conditions to take into account and just takes too long for the routing server, so routes are usually limited for that reason
Ok. Entered a destination of Palm Sprigs, close to Interstate 10, and it plotted that.
Thanks for your time.
Gosh, my head is aching guys. Sorry for posting one and the same thought several times. Don’t know what came over me.
I had a very similar issue with my Windows 11 right after I had updated it. It made me so really angry that I wanted to format my hard drive and reinstall it from scratch. Good that I managed to put myself together and google for a possible solution from my laptop first. Then I saw [inappropriate link removed by moderator] and it made me realize what my problem with connectivity was. So who knows, maybe some of you here have the same situation.
