Staff created a new official role which will be common to all communities globally for people who manage primarily real-time road closures and Major Traffic Events, the MTE Marshal role:
After an internal discussion, we decided to simply rename the “SM RTC” role that we had created for our own community to the newly official role, for better recognition across borders and when dealing with other countries.
Starting today, everyone who is an active* SM RTC will now be an MTE Marshal. Waze will collect your usernames to have an official list, and they also plan to give this role more importance in the future.
