Smyrna Delaware S. Main St Construction

South Main St in Smyrna Delaware between East South St and Mill St is under construction, and at times the road is closed to all thru traffic. Anyone traveling to Main Street Market should be directed to park on West Frazier St near its intersection with South Main St. The business is open, and people will not know how to get close to the shop if they are taken to either end of the construction area. This is visible on Google Street View, https://www.google.com/maps/@39.29722,-75.6010665,3a,75y,314.76h,87.68t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sB0mKiOM2L_mlXT0KzPbbUw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192. I also added into https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor# a point comment for where people should be directed to park, and a polygon comment around the construction area. Is there anything else I should do?

Hey, thanks for bringing this to our attention and putting a Map Comment (MC) on the area. Unless we can find out the exact times that the road will be closed, there is very little we can do. The only thing I have been able to find is on the Town of Smyrna Facebook page and it says South Main Street will be open 24/7. Hello,

I was browsing the Town of Smyrna Facebook page today and saw a post relating to this issue of Main St Market and parking on Frazier St. The Town has created spaces for customers to park on Frazier St directly across the street from the store, reserved for customers from 7 AM - 7 PM.

Is this the parking lot? If so we can mark it as public parking so it shows up on the waze map and in search results. What should the lot be called? Main Street Parking?

ok I now see your map comments. Just be aware the comments are just visible to editors as notes, and aren’t visible in the app. Is there a separate lot for parking or is it just alone Frazier Street? We can’t really mark street parking. Has to be a lot of some sort.
