Change required: Section of A780 - Western Port Hwy just before and after intersection with Oneills Road and Tyabb-Tooradin Rd for roughly 700 meters the speed limit is reduced to 70kph from 100kph. Speed limit reduced for safety reasons
Reason: This reduction of speed has been in place since at least Nov 2022 and is a permanent fixture with frequent police presence to enforce.
At that location is one of the numerous installations throughout Victoria where traffic on the side roads will activate a temporary reduction is speed - as the speed varies based on side traffic there is nothing in Waze we can currently do to mimic that random pattern of speed changes. As Always drivers should drive to real life conditions and the speed displayed in Waze is only an advisory limit.
