I wanted to share with you the status of the overall coverage of speed limit data we currently have in Denmark.
Once we will reach more than 90% coverage of speed limit data of all major types of roads (Freeways, Major highways and minor highways), we can enable the feature to all the Danish Wazers.
Here are the current stats:
Freeways - 77%
Major Highway - 41%
Minor Highway - 31%
Primary Street - 15%
Streets - 5%
And here is the heatmap of the coverage (Green - Has SL data, Red - Missing SL data):
I drive roughly 50.000 km a year on freeways and major highways so I know my speed limits. Is it possible for me to get some status to edit speed limits? At the moment I’m only a level 1 editor, but I know my way around the Map Editor and could provide a great number of speed limit edits if allowed to do so.
Hi Unholy,
Interesting to see the current coverage. It looks like George??? and I are just about the only ones editing speed limits in Denmark. There are an awful amount of red roads still. Perhaps it would help if editing speed limits counted as real edits. I have a feeling that for every 100 segments I have defined speed limits to I am only credited for 10
I would love to help, but unfortunately I don’t have the status. Tried this while vacationing in Sweden this weekend and it was awesome. Would really like to see it active in Denmark soon…
i was just wondering if there is a way for us to se that heat map so we know where to set our focus. Becaus right now im just clicking roads to find out if they have the limit or not. I would help alot if u could se what areas need attention. and by the way do you know why a speed limit docent count as a " real " edit ?
Speed changes do count as edits, but if you make to many changes to fast, you get blocked for a period (hours).
Why? - We want quality edits, not quantity.
Det er da lidt skod, specielt når Nordjylland er så mangelfuld på hastigheder. Tror jeg lavede godt 800 rettelser igår. Samtlige byer nord for Limfjorden i mit område samt små dele af aalborg mangler.
