Only states that have a certain percentage of roads mapped with speeds are live. Some states just aren’t to that point yet. If you are in a state with speeds and cross into another state with speeds I would think it would keep working without restarting the app, but I am not totally certain of this. You have to remember volunteer map editors must enter these speeds on each and every road segment…so it’s a long process and mistakes can happen. Sometimes the street view is old and not correct. Best thing to do if you have an issue with incorrect speeds is just submit a map issue. As for the other app related suggestions/issues there is a specific forum for to make those types of suggestion.
