Speed limits - bruce hwy edmonton - gordonvale

Hi.
ive submitted multiple map update requests for this section, and despite both sides of the bruce highway now being signed at 100 from the gordonvale intersection to stony creek just south of edmonton, the area is still marked at 80 and 60.

Allegedly, map editor lydia drove this the other day and the maps were updated correctly. I drive this area at least 6 times a day and it has not been altered since the roadworks were completed. The update request was subsequently closed, in the same manner that my recent report of a speed camera in the bentley park school zone was closed after the same editor has incorrectly determined its direction based on an absolutely flawed understanding of the technology.

can we please have somebody actually look into it (speed limits) and update this, rather than just say they have. As for the speed camera - i couldnt care less as if users are speeding in a school zone they deserve the reminder.

cheers.

Hi SuprneCr,

I have double checked and the speed limits have indeed been updated in the map editor. Once edits are made it takes a couple days for these changes to reach the app as we need to wait for the next map build. However, right now the map build has been delayed since the 14th of September with staff currently investigating the issue. So until that issue is fixed, the edits will be stuck waiting to be pushed to the app. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too much longer until the issue is fixed.

If you’d like me to I can let you know once the map build issue has been fixed by staff? Although with you driving the section multiple times a day I’m sure you’d notice once it is fixed.

Hi SuprneCr,

I wanted to let you know that the map build issue has now been fixed and 5 days worth of backlogged edits, including the updated speed limits, have now been processed and are live in the app. If you have the app running you may need to close and reopen it.
