Speed reductor locks the whole segment to level 4

As a level 2 editor, I can’t edit a segment that has a speed bump/reductor in a segment that I should be able to. Neither I can make an Update Request.

Is this a…:

Standard bug

Steps to reproduce this issue:

  1. editor log in as level 2 or 1
  2. search for a segment level 1 that has a speed bump/reductor
  3. edit the geometry of that segment

expected:
user is allowed to edit the geometry

actual:
user is not allowed and warning message is shown “Modification not allowed right now and will not be sent for approval” (translated)

2nd case, Update Request

  1. editor log in as level 2 or 1
  2. search for a segment level 3 that has a speed bump/reductor
  3. edit the geometry of that segment

expected:
user is allowed to request an update on that segment

actual:
user is not allowed and warning message is shown “Modification not allowed right now and will not be sent for approval” (translated)

PS: no idea if applies to other environments. I only use the rest of the world :stuck_out_tongue:

As far as I know, this is not a bug, it is a functional possible situation, that is, it is normal. Besides, Hazards usually only make the levels of the segments they are in at a minimum of 4 (this may vary by country, but in most countries it is 4 anyway). This is already mentioned as a possible situation on Wazopedia.

Thanks for your early response. Very interesting page on the wazeopedia. I had not reviewed previously, but only the one of my country.

Based on your response, I then can only recommend to consider this as a feature request, since this can help low level users to still improve the map through Update Requests.
