Hello gents, hope everyone is well.
Another flying visit after a strange routing issue I had when leaving the petrol station at Tesco’s in Watford.
Image 1 is the route Waze wanted me to go which is strange enough, but if you choose a slightly different start point on the live map, you get image 2.
Any ideas?

Wonder if this is tied into how Waze attempts to track delays for each exit from a junction? Starting the route close enough to the junction may cause Waze to think you’re already committed to the queue waiting to turn left and generates the corresponding route, whereas starting the route slightly further back may give it the freedom to also consider the other turn options available here, at which point doing a right + 180 at the roundabout may then appear to be the quicker route.
That can happen sometimes but I did take a quick look at this and managed to replicate the 2 different routes out of the petrol station by changing the destination point only. In both cases the first part of the journey was identical, so I couldn’t see any logical reason for this one.
