Sturbridge Village "roads"

I got access to a new area today due to a drive I took and happened to notice something that looks like it really needs fixing. But it’s nowhere near my normal edit area so I thought I’d bring it up here before I did any work.

Old Sturbridge Village, is a historical museum with many walking trails among the buildings, farms, and fields. Someone covered it with streets. Not walking trails, streets. They are not streets that Waze could route anyone onto and need to be removed. It looks like there are many hands that went into this mess.

There are a couple of legitimate roads that should remain but need cleaning up too.

Would a local editor like to undertake the cleanup? If no one volunteers then I’ll do it. As a member of the museum for many years I feel responsible …

Most of that looks like it was basemap import - even the ones that don’t have “admin” as the creator (based on the date)

Out of curiosity I just checked TIGERweb and sure enough the “roads” are there.

I’d be inclined to remove it all. If you want to preserve them as walking trails for some reason you can disconnect them from anything drivable.

I can’t think of any reason to keep them, they aren’t “recreational” like I think of a Walking Trail. I’ll preserve what are real, drivable roads and remove the rest.
