Suggestion: Add A2/A6 toll exemption on Waze for eligible Via Verde users
Hi everyone,
I would like to make a suggestion regarding the recent toll exemption applicable to residents and companies within the influence areas of the A2 and A6.
Currently, those with an active exemption on Via Verde still see the standard toll prices on Waze for routes using the covered sections. This makes the cost estimates provided incorrect and complicates route comparisons, especially for those who use these highways frequently.
The exemption applies to the following sections:

A6: between the A2/A6/A13 interchange and Caia;

A2: between the A2/A6/A13 interchange and Almodôvar.
Naturally, the exemption does not mean that the entire A2 or A6 becomes free: only the amount corresponding to the covered sections should be discounted, while keeping the standard calculation for any other tolled segments.
My suggestion would be to create specific options for Portugal under Passes, for example:
“A2 Exemption - Via Verde influence areas”
“A6 Exemption - Via Verde influence areas”
By activating this option, the user would confirm they have a valid and active exemption associated with their vehicle on Via Verde.
When active, this option should:

calculate €0.00 only on the sections covered by the exemption;

keep the remaining tolls on the route at their standard price;
This would be particularly useful in Alentejo, where many eligible users commute regularly and end up receiving cost estimates that do not correspond to the amount they actually pay.
I am not reporting a map error or a general pricing error: it is a gap in the customization of toll estimates for an existing territorial and individual exemption scheme.
Is there currently any mechanism in Waze to configure this exemption? If not, would it be possible to forward this suggestion as an improvement request for the passes and toll calculation feature?
